『アルとナイの絶え間を表現する』

初めに「動き」があった。「動き」は無数の方向へ流れ出した。流れは分岐し、次第に互いを区別する境界を形成する。やがて派生した、互いに相互作動し、自らを規定し産出する「存在」のようなもの、人間はそれを「生命」と呼んだ。
流れの総合体は今も常に自己と今を飲み込み続けていて、人間はそれを「時間」と呼び、その流れを包み込む器を「空間」と呼んだ。
世界が極めて緩やかに崩壊していく原理の中で遠い昔に分岐したはずのあなたと私が再び出会うこと、そして相関することそのものの様態。

生命が分類されるはるか以前の、生命の根源であるカビ、粘菌、バクテリア、ウイルスなどをモチーフに、アルでもナイでもない世界の中で、今生きている私とあなたの間を表現したいと思った。

The Interval between Being and Not-being

It was “movement” that existed first. The movement starts flowing out in innumerable directions. The flow diverges and gradually forms boundaries that distinguish one thing from another. In the course of time, a single presence emerges. It produces transactional movement, regulates itself and yields itself. We humans call it “life.” Synthesis of the flow swallows “self” and “the present." We humans call the flow “time” and the vessel which encapsulates the flow,“space.

This is nothing more than the second encounter and interaction between‘you’ and ‘I’ who should have, in the midst of the idea that the world is collapsing exceedingly slowly,diverged a long time ago.

Making forms of mold, slime mold, bacteria, and viruses, which are said to be original forms of life far before life was divided into classes, I wanted to express the “relation” between you and I who are living right now in the world of neither ‘being’ nor ‘not-being.’

I hope to create such works as can make people curious as to whether it exists or not and whether it is moving or not, and make people’s brains confused sensually.
